Vicky Hayward is a writer, editor and arts consultant. She lives in Madrid. Her journalism on the arts, social issues and food has been published in The Big Issue, BBC Good Food, The Sunday Times, Songlines, The Independent on Sunday, The Age (Australia), La Revista – El Mundo (Spain), The Guardian, Marie Claire (US, UK, Turkey), The Big Issue and BBC Good Food etc. She is a regular contributor to Spain Gourmetour magazine and Foods from Spain. Her travel writing includes pocket guides to Madrid and the Costa Blanca, written for Insight Guides (now in their 6th and 4th editions). She is also their chief Madrid correspondent. Arts projects include Flamenco Women and Hotel (directed by Mike Figgis), and programming for Bath Festival and the Barbican Theatre, London. She has contributed to BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and BBC regional news. She is senior editor of Booth-Clibborn Editions, the London-based visual publisher of cutting-edge art books (Damien Hirst etc).
