Howard Brereton ([email protected]) - RADIO NEWS & FEATURES

Howard Brereton trained as a radio broadcaster in Britain. He has more than two decades experience as a broadcaster, and has lived in Spain since 1984. He specializes in Spanish news and comment, be it serious or light-hearted. He can be heard regularly on Spain's premier English-language radio station, Onda Cero International, based on the Costa del Sol.

Benjamin Jones ([email protected]) - FEATURES, NEWS, BROADCAST

In more than two decades as a foreign correspondent, American journalist Benjamin Jones has covered Spain's transition to democracy, the Gulf War and the collapse of the Soviet Union, among other events. A one-time United Press International staffer in Madrid, he has also worked for Newsweek (Special Reports), The Christian Science Monitor, The New York Times, Europe Magazine, The New York Daily News and many others. His broadcast credits include National Public Radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Monitor Radio and USA Network. Besides Spain and the Mediterranean region, Benjamin Jones has also covered the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia from his base in Madrid.

Carrie Frais ( [email protected] ) has been an established News & Sport Presenter/Reporter in the UK for more than ten years and for the last 3 years has been based in Barcelona. She has worked for all the major British Broadcasters including the BBC, Sky News & Sky Sports, ITV News, ITV Sport and Carlton. She is currently freelancing for /BBC World, ITV News/ (London Tonight) and /LBC Radio/. She is also the Associate Producer of /Icon International/ a bilingual Production Company based in Barcelona which has been involved in a number of co-productions for British Broadcasters, notably for ITV's Champions League coverage, Sky Sports/ La Liga /show and /A Place in Barcelona/ for Channel 4.. She has also interviewed a number of Spain-based football players including David Beckham and Raul. Carrie is also a regular contributor to various UK based publications including /Spain/ Magazine and /25 Beautiful Homes/.

Susy Macaulay ( [email protected] ) - FEATURES & RADIO NEWS

Susy Macaulay had a 12- year background in BBC Television as a producer/director, specializing in rural affairs and natural history documentary making, before she moved to Spain. She currently works with Onda Cero International, the English-language radio station based in southern Spain, handling local and national news as well as presenting her own daily program. She also contributes to BBC World Service and Europe Today. 


Suzanne Wales ([email protected]) - FEATURES, NEWS, BROADCAST

Australian print and TV journalist Suzanne Wales has been based in Barcelona since 1992. She worked on the Time Out city guides to Barcelona, as well as TV documentaries on the various aspects of the city for the BBC and Sky TV. She contributes regularly to numerous publications including Wallpaper, Marie Claire, High Life (the British Airways in-flight magazine) and other UK, US and Australian titles, as well as being the Barcelona stringer for Reuters news agency.
