The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Should Clint Eastwood ever return to the parched Spanish landscapes where he made his name as the taciturn hero of spaghetti Westerns, he would find a real-life saga worthy of his attention. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly all have a place in recent events in Almería, for the cast includes a fearless lawman, a crusading journalist, and a band of desperadoes dangerous enough to make even Clint swallow his cheroot.

Queen of the bubbly

It seems only natural for someone who comes from a family which has produced champagne for over 500 years on one side and has 20 generations of Charente vintners on the other side to fall into the wine business herself. Beatrice Cointreau, Manager of Groupe Renaud Cointreau, is every bit as sparkling as you'd expect with such a pedigree, and also has a charming streak of unashamedly sensual epicureanism about her, possibly inherited from yet another illustrious ancestor, bon viveur Francois Rabelais, author of that classic tale of gluttony,"Gargantua".
